Welcome to Kimberly Tracewski's Portfolio
Welcome to my education portfolio! Throughout these pages you will find out a little bit of myself and a lot about my educational philosophy, ideas, and development as a teacher. First, I will briefly introduce myself; then, I encourage you to look at my philosophy of education, my resume, and evidence of my experience and teaching style. You can also find my artifacts for meeting the Illinois State Standards. My name is Kim Tracewski, and I was born and partly raised in Carbondale, PA. It is a small town near Scranton, the city made famous by the hit TV show The Office. Right before 5th grade, my family and I moved to Bloomington, IL. I am a 2012 graduate of the University of Illinois with a major in English and a minor in Secondary School Education.
I aspire to be an amazing teacher - the kind who is dedicated, motivated, and responsible for the development of all students. My inspiration to be a teacher came from friends, education, and inspirational teachers when growing up, but it has developed as I strive to do something wonderful in the world. English became the subject of choice because of my love of words, language, and reading, and because I whole-heartedly believe in its importance for communication as we become a more global society. |
